I am 2007 batch passout from SDMCET, CSE branch. I was placed in Cognizant Technology Solutions. Joined CTS in September 2007. Currently with EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) branch in CTS working for the Client MERCK Pharmaceuticals. I was in Bangalore from Sep-07 to Jun-09. Now I am in Buenos Aires, Argentina and will continue working from here for the next 8-10 months.
I thank SDMCET for giving me the most memorable 4 years of my life. Thank you my Professors and my belowed Friends who gave me support in each and every step. What a time it was when I used to get up each day with new dreams and thoughts to go to college. Although missed the first class most of the times and roamed around the city reaching college only at 10:00 during the break. Meet friends there who used to provoke me to bunk the remaining classes also. Those sleepless nights with nil study and 100% useless discussions. And finally, when realized that it's too late now to study and score well for the eam; so better start studying just to pass. The most cherishable of those being the week before exams of 8th semester where our principal made us to be seated in college from 9 to 6 for a week for having shortage of attendance. We remember each hour of those days. We had a great time when we organized Technoscope and Automata for 2 years. My Professors treated me very well and shaped my career in the very less time that I spent with them.
It's not only Technical knowledge that I learnt from college. From everyone around me in college, my life is designed in such a way that I could handle different kinds of situations. College has an impact on your Sociological life. College is not only about building your career. It's all about building you. What we are today mostly is because of those 4 years.
I would advice current students not to take college granted as only for attending classes and writing examinations. The Industry requires you to know a lot more than your curriculum. Not all the 365 days of a year we study. As far as I know, we have been studying sincerely for a maximum of 4 months in a year. Anyone can learn what is in the syllabus. Explore the subjects or chapters which bring out interest in you. Google it out. Have discussions or presentations with your friends/lecturers on it. Stop at nothing when you have a desire to know it more.Involve yourself in college events. Having more knowledge is the greatest advantage in this field.Take it up as a hobby and not as studying for exam.
Enjoy every piece of work or study that you do. Love your life and live it happily. We live only once.
